The Henrietta Barnett School - Round 2 - English - Paper 1

 
Specially prepared for The Henrietta Barnett School Round 2, our English papers are written to match the official exam: a comprehension passage with extended-response questions, followed by a substantial creative writing task. 
 
Round 2 English is set by the school itself, not by GL Assessment. Our papers are written from scratch to mirror the real paper's structure, weighting and difficulty — the same prose register, the same style of comprehension questioning, and the same kind of open-ended creative writing prompt that demands real planning in a tight window.
 
Each paper includes a full marker's guide with a points-based mark scheme for the comprehension and a banded mark scheme for the creative writing —  so parents and tutors can apply professional judgement consistently rather than guessing what a "good" answer looks like.

Two extended comprehension questions 
One 30-mark creative writing task
