A complete HBS 11+ Round 1 mock exam experience. One full exam covering all three subjects pupils sit on the day: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and English.
 
Specially prepared for The Henrietta Barnett School Round 1 entrance test, our Round 1 papers replicate the GL Assessment format used by the school, with a separate answer sheet for each subject. Each paper is timed to match the real exam, building the speed and accuracy pupils need under genuine time pressure.
 
Critically, our papers are calibrated to HBS difficulty — not standard GL difficulty. The real Round 1 sits at the top end of the GL range because the school is selecting the top 300 candidates from a field of around 3,000. 
 
Each pack includes a separate GL-style answer sheet for every paper to simulate exam conditions, designed to look and feel like a genuine GL exam. A complete answer key with worked explanations is included with every paper, so you can mark and review each question with confidence.
 
Question types include:
 
Verbal Reasoning — code questions, word manipulation, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, sequence completion, and the full rotation of GL VR types pupils encounter on the day
Non-Verbal Reasoning — analogies, sequences, odd-one-out, matrices, and rotating advanced types calibrated to HBS difficulty
English — reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and language-use questions in GL multiple-choice format
