Kendrick School, Paper 2, Exam 1
A complete Kendrick School 11+ mock exam experience.
One full Paper 2 designed to replicate the conditions on exam day at Kendrick School.
Specially prepared for the Kendrick entrance exam, our Paper 2 mock follows the full Mathematical and Non-Verbal Skills structure used on the day. Each paper contains Non-Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning and Mathematics across five separately timed sections, the same format, pace and pressure as the real thing.
Paper 2 has a distinct character across all three subject areas: visual-pattern-led Non-Verbal Reasoning, 3D-spatial-led Spatial Reasoning, and full-curriculum Mathematics. It focuses on the question types that emphasise visual reasoning, three-dimensional spatial thinking and applied KS2 maths.
Both Kendrick papers are taken on the same day with a short break in between, so pair Paper 2 with our Paper 1 (English and Verbal Reasoning) for full exam coverage.
Papers include a separate GL-style answer sheet to simulate exam conditions, designed to look and feel like the real thing. A complete answer key with explanations is included with every paper.
Question types include:
Part A: Non-Verbal and Spatial Reasoning
Four timed type-sections per paper. Every paper includes:
- Analogies (make a pair)
- Codes
Two further sections vary across the series, drawn from the GL non-verbal and spatial canon (Series, Odd One Out, Matrix, Figures Alike, Hidden Shapes, Cube Nets, 3D Folding and 2D Rotation), with at least one spatial section in every paper.
Part B: Mathematics
Mixed KS2 topics in a single timed section, worked mentally with no calculator, ruler or protractor. Topics include:
- Number, place value and the four operations
- Fractions, decimals and percentages
- Measurement (length, mass, volume, time and money)
- Geometry (shape properties and angles)
- Position, direction and coordinates
- Statistics (charts, graphs and averages)
- Algebra (sequences and equations)
- Multi-step word problems
